Set up a return policy
To set up a return policy, follow these steps:
Note: For details about return policies, go to the Shopify Help Center return rules.
- Open the Shopify admin.
- Go to Settings, then choose Policies.
- In the Written return and refund policy section, enter your store’s return and refund policy, or choose Create from template to generate a default template policy.
- Choose Save to add your return and refund policy.
Note: You must follow the Prime returns policy for Buy with Prime items and update your existing policies to incorporate the Prime returns policy at About Our Returns Policies.
Add the Buy with Prime return policy to your return policy content
- Open the Shopify admin.
- Choose Online store, and then Pages.
- Select your store’s return policy page.
- Add the following content to your return policy page including a hyperlink to the Buy with Prime post order page: “What is the return policy for Buy with Prime Orders?
“Some Buy with Prime orders are eligible for return. Click here to start the return process for Buy with Prime orders. For more information on the return policy for Buy with Prime orders, see About Our Returns Policies.” - Choose Save changes.
Add the Buy with Prime post-order link to Shopify store navigation
- Open the Shopify admin.
- Choose Online store, then Navigation, Footer/Main menu, and then Add menu item.
- Enter the page title and paste the Buy with Prime post-order link in the link field.
- Choose Save changes.
- If you have linked your return policy page on your Footer/Main menu, add the following content to that page: “What is the return policy for Buy with Prime orders?
Some Buy with Prime orders are eligible for return. Click here to start the return process for a Buy with Prime order. For more information on the return policy for Buy with Prime orders, see About Our Returns Policies.”
Note: When you complete updating your return policy, go to Buy with Prime app for Shopify.
