If you’re using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution for reporting or order management on your Shopify store, Buy with Prime and MCF with Prime orders might not automatically import into your ERP system. To set up rules to import these orders into your ERP system, consider the characteristics of the order to identify the order type.
Identify orders by type
Buy with Prime orders have the following characteristics:
- “Buy with Prime” or “Amazon Fulfillment” as the fulfillment location
- “Amazon Prime” as the shipping method
- A “Buy with Prime” or “Amazon Fulfillment” location ID.
MCF with Prime orders have the following characteristics:
- “Amazon Fulfillment” as the fulfillment location
- “Amazon: Prime members get fast shipping” as the shipping method
- An “Amazon Fulfillment” location ID.
Other MCF orders have the following characteristics:
- “Amazon Fulfillment” as the fulfillment location
- A merchant-defined name as the shipping method that isn’t “Amazon Prime”. The default values are “Standard” or “Expedited”.
- An “Amazon Fulfillment” location ID.
Identify MCF with Prime orders in your ERP
MCF with Prime orders are fulfilled through Amazon fulfillment services with Prime shipping. To identify MCF with Prime orders in your ERP system, use the following:
- Shipping method name: Amazon: Prime members get fast shipping
- Fulfillment location: Amazon Fulfillment
MCF with Prime uses the same Amazon Fulfillment location as MCF orders and is distinguished from MCF orders by the Amazon: Prime members get fast shipping method. MCF with Prime orders comply with standard Shopify order processing, order routing, and Flows. No special ERP rules are needed beyond identifying the MCF with Prime orders by the shipping method and location.
Locate your location ID
To find your unique location ID for Buy with Prime or Amazon Fulfillment, use the following steps:
- Open your Shopify Admin.
- Go to Settings and then choose Location.
- Copy the URL.
- Append .json to the end of the URL to create a new URL, for example https://admin.shopify.com/store/your-store/settings/locations.json.
- In your browser, enter the new URL, and then press Enter.
The browser displays the JSON code, which shows the location ID next to each location name.
For Buy with Prime orders, in the JSON code, look for “Buy with Prime” or “Amazon Fulfillment” and see the adjacent location ID.
For MCF orders and MCF with Prime orders, in the JSON code, look for “Amazon Fulfillment” and see the adjacent location ID.
Note: If you started using the Multichannel Fulfillment app for Shopify after February 2025, you might not see a separate “Buy with Prime” location. In this case, all Amazon-fulfilled orders— including Buy with Prime, MCF, and MCF with Prime— use the “Amazon Fulfillment” location.
Post-order management in ERP
You can use an ERP system for reporting Buy with Prime and MCF with Prime orders. MCF with Prime orders comply with standard Shopify order processing, order routing, and Flows. You can manage returns, cancellations, and refunds for MCF with Prime orders through your Shopify admin just as you would for any other Shopify order.
For post-order actions for Buy with Prime such as returns, cancellations, and refunds, you must use your Shopify admin portal to manage these orders.
Locate Buy with Prime order ID
On the Shopify admin and in your ERP solution, you can find the following tags assigned to each Buy with Prime order:
- “Buy with Prime”, which identifies the order as a Buy with Prime order.
- “322-xxxx-xxxxxxx”, which represents the order ID for the Buy with Prime order.
MCF with Prime orders follow the standard MCF order ID format. To distinguish MCF with Prime orders from other MCF orders:
- On the Shopify orders page, the Delivery method column shows the rate name Amazon: Prime members get fast shipping.
- In Seller Central, when you generate an order report by choosing Orders and then choosing Order Reports, when you select the IsPrime column, MCF with Prime orders have IsPrime = True.
- In Seller Central, on the My Orders page, MCF with Prime orders show a Prime badge when filtering out Amazon US orders.
Note: If a shopper’s cart contains items with different fulfillment methods, for example some items through MCF with Prime and other items through merchant fulfillment, Shopify splits the order into separate fulfillment orders. Each fulfillment order is routed to the appropriate location.
Locate Buy with Prime orders in Seller Central using a Shopify order ID

- Open your Shopify Admin, and then choose Orders.
- Locate the Buy with Prime Order ID for the relevant Shopify Order ID. For example, “322-xxxx-xxxxxxx”.

- Use Buy with Prime Order ID from Step 3 to find the relevant Shopify order.
In Seller Central, MCF with Prime orders appear under your Multichannel Fulfillment orders and follow the standard MCF order identification flow. In Seller Central, under order reports, see the IsPrime column to identify the MCF with Prime orders, or on the My Orders page, see the Prime badge to identify the orders.
