Set up Buy with Prime and MCF using the Multichannel Fulfillment app for Shopify

Set up and Buy with Prime and MCF

To set up Buy with Prime and MCF, you’ll need to complete four steps:

Important: When you choose Buy with Prime, MCF is also activated for your store as a fulfillment option. You can configure how MCF is used for your store using the Shopify Order routing setting. For more information, go to Understanding order routing.

Note: Buy with Prime is available to merchants with a US-based entity.

Set up Amazon Pay in Shopify Payments

First: If Shopify Payments isn’t set up in your store, follow the prompts to complete the setup.

Buy with Prime shoppers check out with payment information from their Amazon account. Payments are then processed and disbursed through Shopify Payments.

To set up Amazon Pay in Shopify payments:

  1. During onboarding, as part of step 1 on the Add Buy with Prime to your site menu, click Set up.
  2. In the Shopify payments section, click Manage.
  3. Click Manage Payment Methods.
  4. In the Wallets section, select Amazon Pay.
  5. Click Save.

Set up your Buy with Prime account

Sign in or create a Buy with Prime account and confirm your business details.

Follow these steps to set up your Buy with Prime account:

  1. During onboarding, as part of step 2 on the Add Buy with Prime to your site menu, click Set up. You’re redirected to sign in to Amazon.
  2. Enter your Amazon seller account (Seller Central or Supply Chain Portal) credentials and then choose Sign in with Amazon. A Buy with Prime account is created and connected to your Amazon seller account. (This process can take a few minutes.)
  3. Choose Select an account from Seller Central or Multichannel Fulfillment.

    Note: If you have multiple accounts, link the one that has the same products you want to use for Buy with Prime. To remove your account, contact Merchant Support.
  4. On the Select a Merchant and Marketplace screen, find your Seller Central or Multi-Channel Fulfillment account and choose Select Account.
    Note: Buy with Prime is available to merchants with a US-based entity. Ensure that you select a US account.

    To set up Buy with Prime, you need to complete two steps:

Unlink your Amazon and Buy with Prime accounts

To unlink your Seller Central or Supply Chain Portal account from the Buy with Prime account automatically created for you by the app:

  1. At the bottom of the screen, click Disconnect.
  2. Your account is disconnected, and you’re redirected to the Grow your site with services from Amazon screen.
  3. Use the instructions Install Multichannel Fulfillment app for Shopify to re-start the process with another account.
