Set up Buy with Prime checkout

1. Go to Add Buy with Prime to your ecommerce website and then choose Sign up.
   

   

2. Enter the Amazon credentials that you use for Seller Central or Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) and choose Sign up.

   Note: You can choose Switch accounts to access a different account.
   Note: Review the Buy with Prime Conditions of Use and Privacy Notice.
   

3. On the Add Buy with Prime to your site page, select the integration that applies to your ecommerce provider. In this example, the Checkout snippet is selected.
   

   

4. Enter your active store URL (for example: www.example.com) and then choose Continue.
5. Choose Begin set up to continue to Link your accounts.

To sign into your Seller Central account, you need to have one of the following:

• A primary user or account owner ID in Seller Central.
• An admin role on the Seller Partner Appstore in Seller Central.

There are two ways to find Buy with Prime on the Seller Central home page:

• On the Try Buy with Prime feature card, choose Get Started.
  

  

• On the side menu, choose Growth and then Add Prime to your site.

Whether you found Buy with Prime from the Try Buy with Prime feature card or from the Growth menu, you’re directed to the Prime shopping benefits screen. Use the following steps to set up Buy with Prime:

1. Choose Sign up.
   

   

2. On the Create an account for Buy with Prime page, choose Authorize.
   

   

3. On the Add Buy with Prime to your site page, select the Buy with Prime Checkout snippet integration option. This option allows you to add the Buy with Prime checkout on your site using a code snippet. The code snippet is a web component and is compatible with most ecommerce providers. The code defaults to the Buy with Prime cart experience, but without changing any of the code, you can change it to the Buy with Prime buy now experience and also turn on product recommendations in your Buy with Prime cart or checkout page.
   

   

4. Enter your active store URL (for example: www.example.com) and then choose Continue.
5. Choose Begin set up to continue to Link your accounts.

Since you’re not in Seller Central, you need to select an account from Seller Central or Multi-Channel Fulfillment that you want to link to Buy with Prime.

If you have multiple accounts, link the one that has the same products you want to use for Buy with Prime.

If you accidentally link the incorrect account, to remove it contact merchant support.

Note: If you need to link an account that you don’t own, invite the account owner to Buy with Prime to ask them to add you as a user to their Seller Central or Multi-Channel Fulfillment account.

1. On the Select a Merchant and Marketplace screen, select your Seller Central account.
   

   

2. Enter the following information:
   
   • Your store name - This appears when shoppers sign in and check out using Buy with Prime.
   • Your site URL - This is your site URL where shoppers purchase items and we’ll use this link to install the Buy with Prime button.
   • Your privacy policy URL - This should be the URL for the privacy policy that you show on your site. Amazon Pay includes a link to your privacy policy page when shoppers consent to share their data with you.
3. By choosing Link Amazon Pay, you agree to connect your Amazon Pay account to Buy with Prime.
   

   

After choosing Buy with Prime widgets, wait for the creation of your account.

By linking your Seller Central and Buy with Prime accounts, you’re authorizing Buy with Prime to access data from their Seller Central account.

To add Buy with Prime to BigCommerce, use the following steps:

1. Sign in to your BigCommerce store.
2. On the side menu, choose Storefront, and then Themes.
3. To create a copy of your current theme, on the Advanced menu, choose Make a copy.
4. On the copied theme, choose the more options […] menu and then Edit Theme Files.
5. To add the first code snippet to the header of your site, locate and open the base.html template file in the file tree. For example, if you’re using the default theme, choose templates, layout, and then base.html.
   

   

   Note: Depending on your theme, your path might differ.
6. Paste the Buy with Prime checkout snippet before the closing </body> tag as shown in the following example.
   Note: Merchant console generates a code that includes your site details. You don’t need to change anything in the code.
   

   

7. Choose Save File.
8. To add the second code snippet to your PDP template, open the PDP template in the file tree. For example, if you’re using the default theme, choose templates, components, product view, and then product-view.html.
   Note: Depending on your theme, your path might be different.
9. Paste the second Buy with Prime code snippet from the merchant console after the add to cart code snippet on the page.
   Tip: Search for “cart” to find the right location in the file.
10. Choose Save File.
11. Use Preview mode on your site to determine whether the Buy with Prime button is rendering on your PDP and then choose Save.
12. If you’re editing a copy, choose Use as Active Theme and then Publish.

If the Buy with Prime checkout isn’t appearing on the PDPs of your site, go to Troubleshoot your Buy with Prime checkout button. If you’re still having issues, contact Merchant Support.

Adding the first code snippet to the header of your site

For WooCommerce site not hosted on WordPress:

If your WooCommerce store isn’t hosted on WordPress, use the following instructions to install the first Buy with Prime checkout snippet to the header of your site:

1. Open your cPanel dashboard.
2. Install the WPCode Lite Plugin, also known as WPCode. This plugin helps to insert headers, footers, and code. If you already have the WPCode Lite Plugin installed, skip to Step 6. If you don’t have the WPCode Lite Plugin, continue with Step 3.
3. In the Plugins section, choose Add New.
4. In the Search Plugins field, enter “WPCode Lite” and then choose Search.
5. Install the Plugin and then choose Active. A new option called Code Snippets appears on your dashboard side menu.
6. On the side menu, choose Code Snippets, Code Snippets, and then Add New.
7. Choose Create Custom Snippet.
8. In the Add title for snippet field, enter the title you want for this snippet, such as “Buy with Prime Checkout Snippet for Header”.
9. For Code Type, select HTML Snippet.
10. In the Code Preview editor, paste the first Buy with Prime checkout snippet that you copied from the Create your Buy with Prime experience page in merchant console.
    Note: The merchant console generates a code that includes your site details. You don’t need to change anything in the code.
11. Choose Save Snippet.
12. Activate the code snippet, and then choose Update.
13. Move the section, “Adding the second code checkout snippet to your PDP template to place the second code snippet on your PDP.

For WooCommerce site hosted on WordPress

If your store is hosted on WordPress, use the following instructions to install the first Buy with Prime checkout snippet:

1. In your WordPress admin portal, choose Appearance and then Theme File Editor.
2. In the file tree, locate the WooCommerce template-functions.php file. For example, choose inc, WooCommerce, and then THEME-WooCommerce-template-functions.php. Depending on your theme, your path might be different.
3. Paste only the first Buy with Prime checkout snippet from the Create your Buy with Prime experience page as the last line of code, as shown in the following example:
   Note: The merchant console generates a code that includes your site details. You don’t need to change anything in the code.
4. Save your changes.
5. Continue with Step 2 to place the second code snippet on your PDP.

Adding the second checkout snippet to your PDP template

To finish with implementing the Buy with Prime checkout on your PDPs for WooCommerce, choose one of the following options:

• Option 1: Create a custom snippet.
• Option 2: Edit the theme template file (simplified method).

Option 1: Create a custom snippet

To add the second Buy with Prime checkout snippet to WooCommerce by creating a custom snippet, use the following steps:
Note: Because you’re adding this code snippet as Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) code, you don’t need to edit your theme’s functions.php file or reinstall the PHP code when you make changes to your theme.

1. Open your WooCommerce or WordPress cPanel dashboard.
2. Install the WPCode Lite Plugin, previously known as WPCode. This plugin helps to insert headers, footers, and code. If you already have the WPCode Lite Plugin installed, skip to Step 6. If you don’t have the WPCode Lite Plugin, continue with Step 3.
3. On the Plugins page, choose Add New.
4. In the Search Plugins field, enter “WPCode Lite”, and then choose Search.
5. Install the Plugin, and then choose Active. A new option called Code Snippets appears on your dashboard side menu.
6. On the side menu, choose Code Snippets, Code Snippets, and then Add New.
7. Choose Create Custom Snippet.
8. For Add title for snippet, enter “Checkout Snippet for PDP”.
9. For Code Type, select PHP Snippet.
10. In the Code Preview editor, paste the following code:

11. On the Create your Buy with Prime experiencecode page, locate the second Buy with Primecheckout snippet.
12. Copy the code.
13. Go back to the WPCode plugin Code Preview editor, and then paste the code that you copied in step 12 on line 5 of the code.
14. In the Code preview editor, move line 12, and then paste the following code:

16. Choose Active, and then Update.
    Note: If you don’t see the Buy with Prime checkout on your site, clear your WooCommerce cache and cookies and refresh your page. If button doesn’t appear on your product page, go to Troubleshoot your Buy with Prime button or contact Merchant Support.

The second Buy with Prime checkout snippet that you pasted on your site points to the woocommerce_after_add_to_cart_form page hook as shown in the following example:

There are additional WooCommerce product page hooks that you can use instead of woocommerce_after_add_to_cart_form. For example, you can use a different page hook, such as: woocommerce_before_add_to_cart_button or woocommerce_product_meta_start to install the Buy with Prime checkout snippet near your Add to Cart button.

To use a different web hook, modify the woocommerce_product_meta_start page hook:

Option 2: Edit the theme template file (simplified method)

If your store is hosted on WordPress and you want to add the Buy with Prime checkout to your WooCommerce site by editing the theme template file, use the following steps:

1. In your WordPress admin portal, choose Appearance, and then Theme File Editor.
   Note: If you don’t see the Theme File Editor, you might need to install it from the Plugins tab in your WooCommerce admin portal.
2. In the file tree, find the WooCommerce template-functions.php file. For example, choose inc, WooCommerce, and then THEME-WooCommerce-template-functions.php.
   Note: Depending on your theme, your path might be different.
3. Paste the second Buy with Prime code snippet that you copied from the Create your Buy with Prime experience page (don‘t use the following example code;, use the code from merchant console) as the last line of code. For example:

The Buy with Prime checkout is now installed after your Add to Cart button.
Tip: If you’re having issues installing the button, replace the <div> tag with <div>Hello World</div> to verify that the editor is accurately installing the HTML code after your Add to cart button. For example:

Note: If the Buy with Prime checkout button doesn’t appear on your product page, go to Troubleshoot your Buy with Prime button or contact Merchant Support.

To add Buy with Prime to other ecommerce provider or custom site, perform the following steps:

1. Locate where the product detail page template file is stored for your site.
2. Identify the naming convention of the SKU identifier in that template. For example, “product.sku”.
3. In the second code snippet from the Create your Buy with Prime experience page, find the line product-sku="{{product.sku}}".
4. Replace product.sku with the naming convention of the SKU identifier from your site template from Step 2.
5. Paste the code snippet after the other add to cart or payment options on the page
   Tip: Search for the terms payment or cart to find the right place in the code.
6. Preview your site before publishing the changes.
   Note: The Buy with Prime checkout only renders on the top-level domain you entered when creating the button. If your testing environment loads on a different domain, the button won’t render unless you add it to your list of domains.
   Tip: If you’ve completed the steps to set up Buy with Prime, go to your site’s product detail pages to confirm the Buy with Prime checkout, whether for the cart or buy now experience, is rendering correctly. For troubleshooting help, go to Troubleshoot your Buy with Prime Button or contact Merchant Support.

You can stop offering Buy with Prime at any time.

To turn off the Buy with Prime button for a product:
1. Open the merchant console.
2. From the side menu, choose Products.
3. Find the product you want to stop offering Buy with Prime, then turn Offer Prime off.

To stop offering Prime for all products on your site:
1. Open the merchant console.
2. On the side menu, choose Settings, Amazon Services, and then Prime Settings.

Choose Actions and then Deactivate Prime. When you turn off Prime, you remove it from all the products on your site.

Warning: If you remove the Buy with Prime button code from your site, without completing these steps, shoppers can still access the URL of the checkout page that includes Buy with Prime, and still place a Buy with Prime order.

1. Open the merchant console.
2. From the side menu, choose Products.
3. Find the product you want to offer Buy with Prime.
4. Confirm that the SKU correctly reflects your site catalog’s SKU for the product. If the SKUs don’t match, choose the Edit button and enter the correct information.
5. Confirm that the price correctly reflects the price of the product on your site. If the prices don’t match, choose the Edit button and enter the correct information.
6. Turn Offer Prime on.
Note: Make sure that the product is both fulfilled by Amazon and has non-zero inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers. Tip: If you’ve completed the steps to set up Buy with Prime and have pasted the Buy with Prime button code into the product detail page template of your site, go to your site’s product detail pages to confirm the Buy with Prime button is rendering correctly.

Open the merchant console. From the side menu, choose Products, and then the Edit button. After you enter the editing view, choose which products you want to edit in bulk.

To update the SKU for your product:
1. Open the merchant console.
2. From the side menu, choose Products, and then the Edit button.
3. Navigate to the Product details section, and then review and edit your site’s catalog SKU and the Amazon SKU for your product.
Note: To offer Buy with Prime for a product, the Amazon SKU for the product must match the SKU on Seller Central.

No, changes made in Buy with Prime don’t change anything for your Amazon listings.

To send inventory, start by going to Seller Central to create a shipment. Next, prep and pack your products, and then send them into the fulfillment centers that Amazon designates, using the carrier of your choice. To create shipments in Seller Central, start by selecting the SKUs that you want to send from the Manage FBA inventory page, and then choose send/replenish inventory. Alternatively, you can navigate to Send to Amazon to select SKUs and then follow the steps to create your shipment. For more information on the shipment creation process and alternative methods, including integrating with Marketplace Web Service APIs or Selling Partner APIs, go to Ship products to Amazon.

Yes, all of your sales channels using Amazon’s fulfillment services share the same pool of inventory. By using MCF to fulfill Buy with Prime orders on your site, your inventory is automatically synced.

No. To see inventory levels for products fulfilled by Amazon, go to Seller Central. After logging in, go to the Manage Inventory section to see all your SKUs and available quantities.

Any time a Buy with Prime item is ordered, a fulfillment request is automatically sent to Amazon’s fulfillment services. Amazon will pick, pack, and ship the item to your customer. After the item is shipped, its status is updated to Shipped in the merchant console. Your customer also receives an order confirmation email that includes a link to track the shipment. Open the merchant console. From the side menu, choose Orders. To find an order, search by Order ID or Tracking Number. To see all shipped orders, filter for Shipped. After an item has shipped, choose the track package link under the Item Status column to see shipment tracking.

If you link your account, Buy with Prime uses the information in your Seller Central account to help with the following tasks:

● Identify inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers
● Import your Amazon product listings into your Buy with Prime catalog
● Register for Amazon Pay
● Activate Prime shipping for eligible products

Go to Seller Central to ensure that your Seller Central account is active. Make sure that your account is still enrolled in a Professional selling plan. If you’ve confirmed that your Seller Central account is active and in good standing and is still enrolled in a Professional selling plan, relink your account. If you’re still seeing this error, contact merchant support.

You need a Professional Seller Central account. If you have an Individual Seller Central account, you need to first upgrade to a Professional Seller Central account. For more information, go to: Upgrade Seller Central account.

Unlink your account, and then before you relink, go to the Seller Central homepage and choose the correct store from the store picker on the Seller Central navigation bar at the top of the page. Then link your Seller Central account again.
