Review your matched SKUs and activate Amazon service

Map your products using the Multichannel Fulfillment app for Shopify

You’re prompted to review your matched SKUs as part of setup. You can re-visit this step and take actions after onboarding is complete from the app home screen.

In this step, your Amazon products are automatically mapped to your Shopify products on the Product Mapping page. The app compares the Shopify SKU value to the Amazon SKU value:

  • If they’re the same, the status appears as Matched.
  • If they aren’t the same, the status appears as Match not found. You can map unmatched products manually, using the steps in this article.

After the automatic SKU mapping is complete, you can use this article to:

  • Verify that your Shopify SKUs match the SKUs in your Amazon catalog
  • Manually map unmatched SKUs
  • Activate Amazon services

Note: Drafted, archived, or non-existent Shopify site SKUs don’t appear on this screen.

  1. Verify that your Shopify SKUs match the SKUs in your Amazon catalog: For products with status Matched, review and confirm the match is correct by validating that the correct Shopify product is mapped to the correct product in your Amazon catalog.
  2. Manually map unmatched SKUs: For the products with status Match not found, you can manually enter the Amazon SKU that you’d like to map to that product.
  3. Activate Amazon services: For each matched product, choose an available Amazon service:
    • Buy with Prime
Note: Buy with Prime is available to merchants with a US-based entity (and when you’ve chosen to set up Buy with Prime).
    • MCF
Note: Choosing this option doesn’t include rendering the Buy with Prime buy button for the product.
    • No services

Note: See the following sections for details about mapping your products and selecting an Amazon service.

  4. Click Done to move to the next setup step - Configure shipping options.
Note: If you chose to set up MCF only and then decide to also offer Buy with Prime for some of your SKUs, you need to complete MCF onboarding and then add Buy with Prime. For information, go to Set up Buy with Prime and MCF using the Multichannel Fulfillment app for Shopify.

Search, filter, and sort your mapped products

To access the product mapping page in the Multichannel Fulfillment app for Shopify, select Manage product catalog.

On this page, products listings appear separately for each country in which you’ve completed setting up the Multichannel Fulfillment app for Shopify. You can toggle between countries by clicking the country name at the top of the table. For each country, you can filter, sort, and search for products:

  • Search: Open the menu (three lines) at the top right of the product table and then in the search field that appears, type the search terms.
  • Filter: Open the menu (three lines) at the top right of the product table and then in the filter row that appears:
    1. Click the filter that you want to apply to expand the filter options.
    2. Select / deselect the options that you want to apply.
  • Sort: Click the up/down arrow button at the top right of the product table to set the order of operation for the filter options that you selected.

Note: If you’re viewing this page while onboarding a new country, you only see product listings in that country.

Bulk operations

The product mapping page supports bulk operations for both MCF and Buy with Prime. The type of bulk operations available differs between countries.

United States

In the US, you can perform the following bulk operations:

  • Update Amazon SKU
  • Update Amazon Service selection

To perform a bulk update:

  1. On the Manage product catalog page, at top right of the product table, choose Update using CSV.
Note: You can only use CSV files for bulk updates of up to 15,000 rows or 50 MB. If your dataset is larger, you need to split it up to into files that are under this limit.
  2. In the pop-up window, click Download your catalog as a CSV to download a CSV file to your device.

  3. In the CSV file, edit the Amazon SKU and Fulfillment Intent columns.
    • Amazon SKU: Enter the SKU as it appears in your Amazon account for each product that you’d like to manually update.
    • Fulfillment Intent:
      • To activate MCF and Buy with Prime for a product, type, “MCF_AND_BWP”.
      • To only activate MCF for a product, type, “MCF”.
      • If you don’t want to fulfill the item with any Amazon service, type, “NONE”.

Note: Data uploaded through a CSV file overwrites existing data and changes apply immediately.

Other countries

In other countries, you can update your Amazon service selection in bulk directly from the app:

  1. On the Manage product catalog page, at top right of the product table, choose Select service for all.
  2. Select the service that you’d like to apply for all mapped products: MCF or No services.

  3. Click Apply.

Note: Using this option updates the selected Amazon service for all matched products in your catalog.

Manage duplicate SKUs

Having the same SKU name for more than one product across multiple variants, sales channels, selling plans, or status can prevent the Buy with Prime button from appearing on one or all of the products that share that SKU name. It’s a best practice to use unique SKU names to prevent duplicate SKU issues using Buy with Prime.

Examples of duplicate SKUs are as follows:

Duplicate variants:

  • Variant ID: 1284719828; SKU Name: BDUX8827; Product Name: Crystal Sandal Shoe; Size: 8
  • Variant ID: 1284719834; SKU Name: BDUX8827; Product Name: Crystal Sandal Shoe; Size: 9

Duplicate sales channels:

  • Variant ID: 1284719817; SKU Name: BDUX8823; Sales Channel: Online Store
  • Variant ID: 1284719813; SKU Name: BDUX8823; Sales Channel: Social Ads store

Duplicate selling plans:

  • Variant ID: 1284719829; SKU Name: BDUX8829; Selling Plan Group: Subscribe and Save
  • Variant ID: 1284719849; SKU Name: BDUX8829; Selling Plan Group: Prepaid

Duplicate status:

  • Variant ID: 1284719842; SKU Name: BDUX8881; Status: Active
  • Variant ID: 1284719852; SKU Name: BDUX8889; Status: Draft

Duplicate landing pages:

  • Variant ID: 1284719867; SKU name: BDUX9900. Landing page 1
  • Variant ID: 1284719899; SKU name: BDUX9900. Landing page 2

To check for duplicate SKUs, use the following steps:

  1. Open your Shopify admin and then open the Products page for your store.
  2. At the top right, choose Export, All Products, CSV to Excel.
  3. Open the exported file in Microsoft Excel and then highlight the Variant SKU column.
  4. Choose the Home tab and then Conditional Formatting.
  5. In the drop-down menu, choose Highlight Cells Rules and then Duplicate Values, such as in the following example.
    Excel navigation
  6. Choose OK. Excel highlights cells in the Variant SKU column that have the duplicate values. These are the products or variants have duplicate values across your product list.

Note: Each SKU must be unique to be compatible with Buy with Prime. If you have duplicate SKUs, go to Bulk editing for more information on editing your SKUs.

After you’ve completed SKU mapping and selecting the Amazon service, move to the next setup step - Configure shipping options.
