Install the Buy with Prime app on your Shopify site

To install the Buy with Prime app for Shopify, follow these steps

  1. Go to the Buy with Prime App Store page.

  2. Choose Install.

    To install the Buy with Prime app for Shopify, go to the Buy with Prime App Store page and choose Install.

  3. Authorize Shopify and Amazon to share information. This step authorizes the Buy with Prime app for Shopify to access your Buy with Prime data.
  4. Choose Install App.
  5. Enter business details:
    • Business type
    • Business name
    • Address
    • City
    • State
    • Zip
    • Business phone number

  6. Click Link your account.

  7. Select a merchant and marketplace, then choose Select account.

  8. Click Activate Amazon fulfillment to link your accounts.

  9. Your account is linked. Select Continue.

Important details and next steps

Gather your Amazon account details for Amazon services

You connect Amazon Pay to Shopify Payments so that your customers can use their payment details stored on Amazon to pay for their purchases. You also sign in to Seller Central to verify your Amazon account and inventory held in Amazon fulfillment centers.

Important: If you currently use Amazon Pay as a stand-alone payment option, switching to Amazon Pay with Shopify Payments changes how you get paid.

Inventory with Amazon

If you currently use Fulfillment by Amazon for products that you sell on Amazon.com, you need to activate Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) for Buy with Prime to share the inventory that you use to sell on Amazon. If you don’t have inventory with Amazon, you need to activate MCF with Buy with Prime as part of your onboarding (which can take up to 10 business days to complete).

Matching your Shopify and Amazon Catalogs

You can use Shopify SKUs and/or UPCs to manage your catalog on Shopify. On Amazon you can use Amazon SKUs, UPCs, or ASINs. Buy with Prime needs to keep these catalogs in sync to send the correct items to your customers. Buy with Prime asks you to indicate which item is which in a mapping or matching process.

Nothing changes until you choose to offer Prime

Nothing changes on your site until you choose to offer Prime on a per-product basis. After you activate Prime for a product, each time a customer visits the product page, Buy with Prime confirms that you have inventory available, that your account is in good standing, and that the Prime delivery promise to the customer is accurate. Only then does the Buy with Prime button appear on the product page.

Note: When you complete the installation process, go back to the Buy with Prime app for Shopify main menu.
