Map your products

Map your Shopify product SKU to your Amazon product SKU

Amazon products are auto-mapped to the Shopify products on the Product Mapping page in the Buy with Prime app for Shopify. Buy with Prime compares the Shopify SKU value to the Amazon SKU value:

  • If they’re the same, the status appears as Matched.
  • If they aren’t the same, the status appears as Match not found. You can map unmatched products manually using the following process.

Map your products

To map your Shopify product SKU to your Amazon product SKU, follow these steps:

Note: The products in your catalog that aren’t already mapped are marked with the label Match not Found in the Status column. This helps you to keep track of products pending mapping in your catalog.

  1. On the Shopify admin, choose Buy with Prime.
  2. On the Managing your account section, choose Manage Buy with Prime products.
    Notes:
    • Amazon SKU and Shopify SKU are auto-mapped as long as the Amazon SKU ID in Seller Central matches the Shopify SKU ID.
    • The Offer Prime indicator only appears on the Matched SKUs.
    • When the SKUs are correctly mapped the status changes from Match not Found to Matched.
    • You can choose any SKU with status Matched to turn on Offer Prime.
    • Remember to check your product page to verify that the Buy with Prime button is active on the page.
  3. Map your products manually or by importing a CSV file:
    1. Manual SKU mapping: Manually enter the product ID in the Missing SKU field on the Amazon SKU column.
      Notes:
      • When you view the list of products you are mapping, the Offer Prime button only appears for each product that’s successfully mapped.
      • The Status automatically changes to Matched after you enter a valid Amazon SKU.
    2. Import mappings by CSV file: Choose Download/Upload CSV, and then Map SKUs by CSV file.Note: The CSV file depicts all your products in your Shopify catalog. The CSV file includes the following fields:
      • Shopify SKU: Shopify SKU is always pre-populated with your latest Shopify catalog.
      • Amazon SKU: Enter the Amazon SKU that matches the Shopify product.
      • Offer Prime: TRUE/FALSE value. TRUE means that Buy with Prime is activated for the product.
  4. Turn on Offer Prime for the products that you want to offer Buy with Prime. The status of the SKU changes automatically to Offers Prime.
Note: When you turn on Offer Prime for a product, it’s live on your Shopify site immediately as long as the Conditions to offer Buy with Prime are met.
Note: To remove Buy with Prime from one of more products, turn off Offer Prime.

  5. Check your product page to ensure that the Buy with Prime button is active on the page.
  6. When you complete the mapping and selection of products that offer Buy with Prime, choose the exit button to go back to the Buy with Prime app for Shopify.
The app shows the following message: Congratulations! Buy with Prime is now running on your store!

Manage duplicate SKUs

Having the same SKU name for more than 1 product across multiple variants, sales channels, selling plans, or status might prevent the Buy with Prime button from appearing on one or all of the products sharing that SKU name. It’s recommended that your SKU names be unique to prevent issues using Buy with Prime.

Examples of duplicate SKUs are as follows:

Duplicate variants:

  • Variant ID: 1284719828; SKU Name: BDUX8827; Product Name: Crystal Sandal Shoe; Size: 8
  • Variant ID: 1284719834; SKU Name: BDUX8827; Product Name: Crystal Sandal Shoe; Size: 9

Duplicate sales channels:

  • Variant ID: 1284719817; SKU Name: BDUX8823; Sales Channel: Online Store
  • Variant ID: 1284719813; SKU Name: BDUX8823; Sales Channel: Social Ads store

Duplicate selling plans:

  • Variant ID: 1284719829; SKU Name: BDUX8829; Selling Plan Group: Subscribe and Save
  • Variant ID: 1284719849; SKU Name: BDUX8829; Selling Plan Group: Prepaid

Duplicate status:

  • Variant ID: 1284719842; SKU Name: BDUX8881; Status: Active
  • Variant ID: 1284719852; SKU Name: BDUX8889; Status: Draft

Duplicate landing pages:

  • Variant ID: 1284719867; SKU name: BDUX9900. Landing page 1
  • Variant ID: 1284719899; SKU name: BDUX9900. Landing page 2

Use the following steps to check for duplicate SKUs:

  1. Open the Shopify admin, and then choose the Products page for your store.
  2. On the top right, choose Export > All Products > CSV to Excel.
  3. Open the exported file in Microsoft Excel and highlight the Variant SKU column.
  4. Choose the Home tab, and then Conditional Formatting.
  5. In the drop-down menu, choose Highlight Cells Rules, and then Duplicate Values.
    Excel navigation
  6. Choose OK. Excel highlights cells in the Variant SKU column that have the same value as another cell in the column.
  7. The red highlighted cells identify which products or variants have a duplicate SKU that’s used more than once across your product list.

Note: Each SKU needs to be unique to be compatible with Buy with Prime. If you have duplicate SKUs, go to Bulk editing for more information on editing your SKUs.
