What are product recommendations?
Product recommendations are automatically generated, based on your best-selling products that offer Buy with Prime. Shoppers can click “Add” on the Buy with Prime checkout page to add the recommended products to their existing cart and then continue checking out. For more information, go to Checkout.
Shoppers see the recommendations on their Buy with Prime checkout page with the message “Best sellers at [Your Store] from Buy with Prime.” The recommendation includes the item image, title, price, and Prime checkmark logo. After shoppers add one of the recommended products to their order, the recommendations feature reloads and replaces the product with an additional recommended product (if available). Shoppers can choose to add additional products to their cart or complete their checkout using Buy with Prime. To encourage shoppers to continue their checkout, product recommendations don’t have hyperlinks to the associated product pages.
Note: To show Buy with Prime recommendations, you need to activate Buy with Prime cart. For more information, go to Buy with Prime cart.
Activate product recommendations
To activate product recommendations:
Step 1 Sign in to merchant console.
Step 2 On the side menu, click Settings, and then Button & cart. In Add product recommendations, click Manage.
Step 3 On the Product recommendations page, click Turn on recommendations. If you have enough eligible products for recommendations, you see a success message. If you see the message Review product eligibility, click Continue, and then follow the steps in “Manage product eligibility.”
Manage product eligibility
If you’ve followed the process to “Activate product recommendations,” and see the message Review product eligibility, continue with the following process.
To manage product eligibility:
Step 1 Click Continue to open the Check product eligibility page, where you can see the eligibility status of the 10 best-selling products in your Buy with Prime catalog.
Step 2 On the Ineligible products tab, you can see the products from your 10 best-selling products that aren’t eligible for product recommendations. Click the information (i) button to see the eligibility criteria.
Step 3 Click Edit on each product to edit its eligibility. On the tab that opens, edit the product data in your Buy with Prime catalog, and then click Save.
Step 4 Return to the Check product eligibility page, and then click Refresh the page.
Step 5 After five or more of your best-selling products are eligible for product recommendations, click Continue on the Check product eligibility page. The Product recommendations page now appears with the success message.
