  • Buy with Prime is for US-based merchants with an ecommerce site. See the additional standard requirements for Buy with Prime. Buy with Prime for Salesforce Commerce Cloud works best for merchants 1) with storefronts built on Salesforce’s SFRA, 2) that use the Salesforce order management system (OMS), and 3) that use Amazon Pay or Adyen’s Amazon Pay integration as their payment service provider.  Those that use Salesforce’s Site Genesis or Lightning Components can use the cartridge, but it  requires customization. For merchants that use a different OMS ot payment providers, integration requires additional customization.

  • Buy with Prime seamlessly integrates end-to-end into your Salesforce Commerce Cloud instance. Buy with Prime for Salesforce syncs your Salesforce catalog with Buy with Prime so you can easily select which products that you want to offer Buy with Prime. It also adds an attribute that you can use to build custom Buy with Prime landing pages or a filter in Salesforce’s parametric search. In addition to the standard customization capabilities for Buy with Prime, including button placement, size, and shape, the cartridge includes customizable UI components that you can place on your product, cart, and checkout pages to highlight which items are Prime-eligible and estimated delivery dates.

  • Buy with Prime for Salesforce requires no customization to work with Salesforce OMS. For merchants that use a different OMS, integration requires additional customization.

  • Yes, they are different solutions and each solution is designed to help optimize different parts of your business. MCF is a third-party logistics (3PL) solution that fulfills orders on any of your ecommerce sales channels for all of your customers. Buy with Prime is a unique solution to help you grow your ecommerce business. Buy with Prime offers a suite of services including Prime checkout, free 1–2 day shipping, free returns on eligible items, and features such as Reviews from Amazon and 24/7 customer service using Buy with Prime Assist. Buy with Prime orders are fulfilled using MCF, but you don’t have to use MCF to fulfill orders on your other channels. However, we’ve built these complementary solutions to make it easy to enroll in and manage both with the Salesforce Commerce Cloud integration so that you can use MCF to fulfill all of your ecommerce orders.

  • Yes, you have to use Amazon Pay to use Buy with Prime for Salesforce. Buy with Prime uses Amazon Pay to offer millions of shoppers a fast, familiar way to check out from your site using the shipping and payment information from their Amazon account. Amazon Pay also helps verify a shopper’s Prime status so that they can check out using Buy with Prime. For payment processing, you can use Amazon Pay or the Amazon Pay integration with Adyen.

  • Payments are processed when shoppers click “Place order” during checkout, the same way payments are processed for your orders today. Buy with Prime adds details to the Salesforce order document identifying products purchased through Buy with Prime before Salesforce sends the order to your OMS. Buy with Prime sends order status updates the same way other 3PL providers do, which your OMS uses to initiate payment capture once the item has shipped. Both payment authorization and capture are processed with Amazon Pay, subject to your existing rates. If you use the Amazon Pay integration with Adyen, authorization and capture flows through Adyen at your current rates.

  • To set up Buy with Prime for Salesforce:

    • Find Buy with Prime in the Salesforce App Exchange and download the cartridge files.
    • Create an account for Buy with Prime and link your Seller Central account to access your Amazon inventory, and then generate API credentials.
    • Import the cartridge files into your Salesforce instance, and configure Buy with Prime UI components into your shopper and order experiences.
    • Select which products offer Buy with Prime and customize your shopper experience with custom landing pages or by adding Prime to search.

     

  • Yes, shoppers can add products that are Prime eligible and regular products to one cart, and then check out in one transaction.

  • After a customer places a mixed-cart order that includes products from your site that are eligible for Prime and products that aren’t, they can manage the order from multiple places. Customers can access their order from your order history page, your order confirmation email, the Buy with Prime order confirmation email, or the Prime member’s Your Orders page in their Amazon account. For the items in the order eligible for Prime, customers can view and manage their order, including tracking, cancellations, and returns, on the Buy with Prime Orders page in theirAmazon account. For the other items in the order, customers can view and manage them using your existing post-order experience.

  • Some items in Buy with Prime orders are eligible for return and refund and are handled by Amazon. For more details about Buy with Prime returns, see the Returns FAQ in the knowledge center. Buy with Prime orders are covered by the Amazon Pay A-to-z Guarantee.

  • You remain in control of customer information for Buy with Prime orders, including contact and order details. You can use order and customer information, including email addresses, to create personalized outreach and nurture new customer relationships.
