When shoppers engage with your social ads, they’re directed to the specific Buy with Prime product detail pages to learn more and complete their purchase.
Create Social Ads for Buy with Prime
To get started with Social Ads for Buy with Prime, you’ll need to install the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app. Social Ads for Buy with Prime syncs all your products offering Buy with Prime to your Meta catalog by default. Make sure each product in your Buy with Prime catalog has a product description that matches the description on your site and a URL that matches the URL for the product detail page on your site since the URL is used as the landing page for your ads. To see how to update products in your catalog, go to Catalog. You can also resync your catalogs using the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app if you want to update any of this information. To set up Social Ads for Buy with Prime, you’ll need a Meta Account.
Tip: Use the established Meta account for your business if you have an existing one.
Download and set up Social Ads for Buy with Prime
- Ensure your Buy with Prime catalog is set up, including product descriptions and URLs, and that you have selected at least one product to offer Buy with Prime.
- Sign in to merchant console.
- On the side menu, choose Marketplace.
- Find the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app, and then choose View Social Ads for Buy with Prime app.
- Choose Add App, and then Authorize.
- Enter your email and password, and then choose Sign up to create a new account. Note:You’ll need to set up a new account, but you can use the same email you use for the merchant console to create this account.
- Check your email inbox to open the verification email and choose the sign in link.
- Sign in to your new Social Ads for Buy with Prime account with the credentials you set up.
- Choose the Connect with Facebook and Authorize button to link your Meta account to the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app.
- The Social Ads for Buy with Prime dashboard opens.
Create Facebook and Instagram campaigns
To create a new Facebook/Instagram campaign with the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app:
- Sign in to the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app either from the Marketing tab or from Marketplace page in the merchant console or by visiting the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app directly.
- On the Social Ads for Buy with Prime dashboard, choose + Create Campaign.
- Enter the following campaign details:
- Campaign name: This is visible only to you. You can find it in the Marketing tab of the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app and in Meta Ads Manager.
- Start date
- (Optional) End date
- Daily budget
- Ad text
- In Target Audience, select if you want to reach a Retargeting Audience or Prospective Audience campaign.
- Retargeting audience: allows you to tailor your ads to customers who have already visited your site or added your products to their cart but did not purchase.
- Prospective audience: allows Meta to use search demographics, interests, and user activity to build audiences for your ads.
- In Placements, check the box next to the social platform you want your campaign to run on.
- Choose Save Changes. The campaign status appears as Active or Scheduled, depending on the start date you set.
Manage your campaign
- Sign in to the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app either from the Marketing tab or from the Marketplace page in merchant console or by visiting the Social Ads for Buy with Prime app directly.
The dashboard displays a list of all your campaigns. - Choose the Actions icon to Edit, Archive, or Pause a campaign.
- From the dashboard page, choose Download Report to generate a report of all your campaigns.
