Ships in product packaging

For SIPP discounts to apply to your MCF and Buy with Prime orders, you must enter the certification date in the SIPP portal. Discounts apply only to inventory received after the certification date. Inventory received before the certification date doesn’t qualify. Eligible products must meet Amazon packaging durability and safety requirements (see: Ships in Product Packaging). SIPP discounts apply to all SIPP-certified items on MCF and Buy with Prime orders unless you opt out by requiring overboxing.

* Shipping weight is the greater of the unit of weight or dimensional weight for determining size tiers.

No action is required for you to activate SIPP for MCF and Buy with Prime for items that are already SIPP-certified for FBA. These items are automatically SIPP-certified for MCF and Buy with Prime orders.

To certify additional items:

1. In Seller Central, go to the Ships in Product Packaging portal.
2. Review eligible products and then enter the certification date for each.
3. Submit products for certification following Amazon packaging guidelines (see: Ships in Product Packaging).

There is no fee to enroll in SIPP. However, you can incur costs if packaging changes are required to meet certification standards or third-party lab testing is required. For more information, go to Enrolling products.

For MCF and Buy with Prime orders, you can opt out of SIPP at the ASIN or account level.
Note: Shipments of items that require an overbox don’t receive the fee discounts.

To opt out of SIPP for MCF and Buy with Prime orders:

• In the SIPP portal:
  
  • At the ASIN level, unenroll an item from SIPP (also applies to FBA orders).
  • At the account level, go to Settings, Fulfillment by Amazon, Multi-Channel Fulfillment Settings, and then select Require Overbox.

To opt out of SIPP for MCF orders only:

• During MCF Order Creation, at the order level, select Require overbox packaging.
